SIMM has been actively involved in developing and editing several publications: In 2021 Musicae Scientiae released this special SIMM-edition on research on social impacts of music making and the role of music in social and com, and in December 2026 the International Journal of Music Mediaton (IJMM) will release a special issue on research on participatory opera and music theatre projects.
